Like the Littlest Hobo...
I'm on my way. Actually, it's more like the opening credits, where the Littlest Hobo trots around looking competent. This is the stage I'm at too, except that since I have the advantage of opposable thumbs I can do things like pack clothing, put new shoelaces in my boots, and give myself the thumbs-up in the mirror. I am leaving on Saturday for London and I'm feeling thumbs up, waaay up, these days.
Before I leave the canine analogy completely, I have one more thing in common with the Littlest Hobo: *rabies* has become an important concern in my life. I was recently vaccinated in anticipation of wild Bangladeshi vermin. This week I have had to keep clarifying that I am being vaccinated *against* rabies, and that I do not in fact *have* rabies. This must also be a relief to you, gentle (and germophobic) blog reader.
Speaking of which, thank you friends for reading my first wee post. I hope you defy my expectations, break free from the snooty blog lurker category and actually post on this site. I will affectionately harrass you from time to time to ensure this.

"There’s a voice that keeps on calling me, down the road that’s where I will always be."
The Littlest Hobo was too smart for rabies.
